In these I return to the theme of sanctuary. Some works evoke wooded interiors, spaces we might walk into — a refuge by virtue of its enclosure. Others move below the surface, into the submerged and suspended. The underwater prints do not depict specific scenes, but hold the sensation of being beneath: enveloped, weightless, muffled. They offer sanctuary through transport out of one world and into another, of a different medium.
